this is just like christendom or all the other religious organizations that they deem to be from the devil.

13 years ago our pioneer bunch got in trouble for modernizing kingdom songs...the Elders thought it was not respectful for songs made for worship. Sad to see so many talented people who stopped careers in music for Jehovah happy for a small taste.

Sorry to be negative.....Brainwashed by Rutherford into believing saluting the flag or standing during the national anthem was "worship" and not just showing respect. During this "PAGAN PERIOD" Birthdays, tipping your hat to a lady, Mothers and Fathers day were all banned as acts of worship. This lead to many deaths of brothers who didnt know any better. I'm not proud of this.

been lurking here for yyyyyeeeeears, but was too busy with school, jw life and other interests.

now that i'm done with education for the time being anyway, plus the jw life is under pretty good control, i can spend some time and throw my views here and there in some attractive topics.. born-in, and deeply indoctrinated, but with life experience came better comprehension of my lot in life and have come to accept that, just like the family one is born into, jws are my family, friends, my ultimate and overall identity.

a jw is what i am; like the song 'hotel california', and like so many on this board, check out anytime you'd like but one could never leave.. remember like it was yesterday the failed 'the wolf is coming' calls of 1975, mid-80s, late 90's, y2k, 2004 or so, and same will be with the latest effort to get people overly excited about 'the end'.

a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour has been taken without consent from hospital by his parents, sparking a major police hunt for the family.. ashya king was taken from southampton general hospital and is now believed to be in france with his parents and six siblings.. police said he needs constant medical care and there are "serious concerns" for his life if he is not found today.. brett king, 51, and naghemeh king, 45 removed him from the ward on thursday.. ashya's father was pictured taking him from the hospital"everyone is sending their love now.
